ERASMUS+
Erasmus+ is the EU programme that supports education, training, youth and sport in Europe. It has an estimated budget of €26.2 billion. For the period 2021-2027, the programme places particular emphasis on social inclusion, the double green and digital transition and promoting young people´s participation in democratic life.
It supports the priorities and activities set out in the European Education Area, the Digital Education Action Plan and the European Skills Agenda. In addition, the programme supports the European Pillar of Social Rights, implements the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027, develops the European dimension of sport.
AVALON, through Erasmus+ in Key Action 2, offers its know-how to establish partnerships aimed at developing mobility and cooperation possibilities in:
- higher education
- vocational education and training
- school education (including early childhood education)
- adult education
- youth
- sport
OPPORTUNITIES
INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY
The new programme aims to increase the qualitative impact of its actions and ensure equal opportunities.
To this end, the programme will reach out to people of different ages and from diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds. It will focus on people with fewer opportunities, including people with a migrant background or those with disabilities or learning difficulties, as well as those living in rural and remote areas.
ERASMUS+ DIGITAL
In line with the priorities of the Digital Education Action Plan, the Programme will develop accessible and high quality learning, boost the capacity of teachers, trainers and youth workers, among others, to use digital tools and content, and test and promote distance and blended learning. The Programme´s mobility actions will offer more opportunities to acquire and develop digital skills through initiatives such as Digital Opportunity Traineeships.
ERASMUS+ GREEN
In line with the European Green Pact, the programme will lead by example and encourage participants to use lower carbon transport as an alternative to air travel.
Erasmus funding will also be used to improve knowledge and understanding of sustainability and climate action, so that Europeans will acquire the cutting-edge skills needed to create sustainable societies, lifestyles and economies. sustainable societies, lifestyles and economies.
